User Terms of Service

1. Service Overview

These terms govern your use of inbux's paid message delivery service. inbux helps recipients manage their attention by letting them require payment from unknown senders. After successful payment, inbux delivers your message to the recipient's inbux account for review. inbux offers two ways to pay:

Payment via Email Payment Link

If you receive a payment request email from an inbux user, you can pay through the link provided. This grants you:

  • Delivery of the paid message associated with your payment to the recipient's inbux account for review
  • When the recipient uses Gmail Spam Management, placement of your email address on their Allowed sender list and a temporary protection period

Payment via Public Vanity Page

You can pay directly through an inbux user's public profile page (vanity URL). This lets you submit a paid message to the recipient without creating an inbux account:

  • Your message is delivered to the recipient's inbux account for review
  • You can include an external contact method, such as a website, booking calendar, or email address

Do I Need an inbux Account?

No, you do not need an inbux account to send a paid message. You can complete payment and send your message without creating an account. An inbux account is for people who want to create and share their own Pay Link.

  • Become a Receiver: If you have an account, you can also use inbux as a receiver to monetize your own attention
  • Pay Link: Set the amount people pay to send you a message

Important Note for Senders: Include a clear call-to-action and an external contact method if you would like the recipient to contact you, since payment does not create a sender-facing in-app conversation.

2. What You're Purchasing

Your payment covers delivery of a paid message to the recipient's inbux account for review. The recipient controls whether and how to respond. Payment does not guarantee that a recipient will reply to or act on a message.

Important: Payment does not guarantee that the recipient will:

  • Reply to your message
  • Engage with your content or offer
  • Take any specific action
  • Respond within any particular timeframe

Protection Period: When applicable, payment gives your email address a temporary protection period from automated blocking in the recipient's Gmail Spam Management settings. The duration is set by the recipient. After it expires, future email may again be handled according to the recipient's settings.

3. Pricing & Payment

The pricing structure consists of:

  • Recipient's Price: The amount set by the inbux user
  • Transaction Fee: A small processing fee that covers payment processing and platform costs
  • Total Amount: The sum of both charges, clearly displayed before payment

All payments are processed securely through Stripe. By proceeding with payment, you agree to Stripe's terms of service and authorize the charge to your payment method.

4. Email Delivery Process

After successful payment:

  • inbux delivers your paid message to the recipient's inbux account for review
  • For a Gmail Spam Management payment, your email address is added to the recipient's Allowed sender list and Gmail is instructed not to send future messages from that address to Spam, subject to Gmail's availability and settings

5. Usage Guidelines

When using inbux's email delivery service, you agree to:

  • Send legitimate, professional communications only
  • Respect the recipient's time and attention
  • Comply with all applicable laws including CAN-SPAM Act and anti-spam regulations
  • Not send abusive, harassing, or inappropriate content
  • Use the email address exactly as entered during payment

Abuse of the service may result in permanent blocking and forfeiture of payment without refund.

6. Paid-Message Conduct

When submitting a paid message through inbux, you agree to:

  • Professional Communication: Maintain professional, respectful communication at all times
  • No Harassment: Do not send abusive, threatening, or harassing messages
  • No Spam: Do not send excessive or repetitive messages
  • Legitimate Purpose: Use paid messages for genuine business or professional communication only
  • Respect Boundaries: If the recipient does not respond or asks you to stop, respect their wishes

Message Limitations

  • Paid messages are stored on inbux's platform and presented to the recipient
  • The recipient is not obligated to respond to your messages
  • The recipient can block future email from your address at any time

Content Restrictions

  • No illegal content or solicitation of illegal activities
  • No malware, phishing attempts, or security threats
  • No explicit adult content or pornography
  • No hate speech, discrimination, or harassment
  • No impersonation of others or misrepresentation

Enforcement: Violation of these guidelines may result in permanent blocking and forfeiture of payment without refund. inbux reserves the right to review paid-message content in response to abuse reports.

7. No Refund Policy

All payments are final and non-refundable. This policy exists because:

  • A paid message is delivered to the recipient's inbux account for review
  • For Gmail Spam Management payments, the Allowed-sender and filter-management service is initiated
  • The value is in the paid-message delivery service, not a reply or outcome

Even if the recipient does not respond, the paid-message delivery service has been successfully provided. Initiating chargebacks, payment disputes, or other challenges after successful service delivery will result in permanent blocking from all inbux services, including future payments to any inbux users.

8. Response Expectations

inbux delivers a paid message to the recipient's inbux account for review. We explicitly do not guarantee:

  • Any response from the recipient
  • A positive or favorable response
  • Response within any specific timeframe
  • That the recipient will engage with your content or offer

Response rates vary significantly based on message quality, relevance, timing, and the recipient's availability and interest. Payment provides paid-message delivery, not a reply or outcome.

9. Technical Limitations

Our service operates within the constraints of email systems:

  • Delivery depends on the recipient's email provider and settings
  • Very rarely, technical issues may delay filter updates
  • The recipient maintains ultimate control over their email management
  • Manual changes by the recipient may override our system
  • Paid-message availability depends on platform uptime

10. Privacy & Data Protection

We protect your privacy by:

  • Using your email address solely for whitelist management
  • Not reading or storing the content of ordinary emails you send outside inbux
  • Storing paid messages submitted through inbux so they can be presented to the recipient
  • Securely processing payment information through Stripe
  • Not sharing your information with third parties (except as required for payment processing)

Your email address, message content, and payment information are handled according to our Privacy Policy.

11. Limitation of Liability

inbux's liability is limited to the amount you paid for the service. We are not responsible for:

  • Lost business opportunities due to lack of response
  • The recipient's reaction to or handling of your email or messages
  • Technical issues with email providers or the inbux platform beyond our control
  • Any indirect, consequential, or punitive damages

Our maximum liability for any claim is limited to the fee you paid for the specific paid-message delivery service.

12. Service Modifications

We may update these terms or modify service features with reasonable notice. Continued use of the service after modifications constitutes acceptance of updated terms.

13. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the State of Delaware. Any legal proceedings will take place in Delaware courts.

15. Acceptance

By proceeding with payment, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Sender Terms of Service. You confirm that you are paying for delivery of a paid message to the recipient's inbux account for review. Payment does not guarantee that the recipient will reply to or act on a message.
